Kinan Mall Baskets

Palm weaving is one of the oldest human crafts. In Saudi homes, it provided roofs, walls, baskets, and mats—woven by women as part of daily life. Fronds were split, boiled, dyed, and dried. This traditional technique inspired our ceiling installation, which not only celebrated heritage but also drew visitors upward— revitalising an underused upper level of the mall.
