Privacy Policy

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal data in the following ways:

  • Information you provide directly: such as your name, email address, and project details when you contact us through forms or email.
  • Automatically collected information: including your IP address, browser type, device information, and browsing behaviour, through cookies and analytics tools.

2. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used to:

  • Respond to your enquiries or requests.
  • Provide you with relevant information about our services.
  • Improve our website’s performance, security, and usability.
  • Comply with legal obligations or protect our legal rights.
  • We process your data based on legitimate interest, contract fulfilment, consent, and legal compliance.

3. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, understand how it is used, and improve it. Cookies are small data files stored on your device. These include:

  • Essential cookies – necessary for the website to function and to keep it secure, including a bot-protection cookie set by our security provider, Cloudflare.
  • Analytics cookies – set by Google Analytics, to understand which pages are visited and how people arrive at the site. These distinguish one visitor from another and last up to 400 days.
  • Session recording and heatmaps – we use Microsoft Clarity to see how the site is used. It records interactions with a page: mouse movement, clicks, scrolling and navigation, which we can replay and view aggregated as heatmaps. Clarity is configured to mask text and images, so anything you type into a form, and sensitive text such as email addresses, is hidden before it leaves your browser. We see how a page was used, not what it said.
  • Clarity is configured to set cookies only where consent has been given. Where it has not, Clarity records without setting any cookies, using an identifier that lasts only for the current page view. Where consent has been given, it sets cookies lasting from one day to 365 days.
  • We do not enable Microsoft's advertising storage for this site, so Clarity does not set the cross-site identifiers Microsoft uses for advertising, including on bing.com.

When you first visit the site we ask whether you accept these cookies. Apart from the essential ones, nothing is set unless you choose Accept. You can change your mind at any time using the Cookie settings link in the footer, which reopens that choice. Declining or withdrawing also deletes the analytics and session-recording cookies already stored in your browser.

Session recordings are held by Microsoft for 30 days. Aggregated data and heatmaps are held for 9 months.

You may control or disable cookies through your browser settings, though this may affect site functionality. You can review Microsoft's own privacy choices at choice.live.com/AdvertisementChoice.

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party providers:

  • Google Analytics – to measure website traffic and understand how the site is used.
  • Microsoft Clarity – to record and replay how visitors interact with the site, and to produce heatmaps. Data collected by Clarity is processed by Microsoft. We do not enable Microsoft's advertising storage for this site, so Clarity does not set Microsoft's cross-site advertising identifiers here. Microsoft's privacy statement is at privacy.microsoft.com/privacystatement.
  • Google Tag Manager – to manage the tags above.
  • Hosting and infrastructure providers – to securely host and manage the site.

These providers process data under their own terms and applicable data protection agreements. Data may be transferred outside your country, including to the United States.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely using industry-standard security measures. Access to your information is restricted to authorised personnel only. We retain data only as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in this policy.

6. Your Rights (GDPR and other applicable laws)

If you are based in the UK, EU, or other applicable jurisdictions, you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or outdated data.
  • Request deletion of your data, subject to legal and contractual obligations.
  • Object to or restrict data processing in certain circumstances.
  • Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
  • To exercise these rights, please email us at hello@penguincube.com.

7. Updates to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with the effective date. Continued use of our website after any changes indicates your agreement to the revised terms.
